The Foo Fighters on Numa Boots? Really?...yep! O.K. here's the reasoning....we all know they recorded a cover of "Down In The Park" which ended up on the X-Files album ("Songs In The Key Of X") but until recently I didn't realise they ever played it live. This recording is actually the highlights of the bands first appearence at the Reading Festival and a club date four months earlier. The club date is recorded before the bands first album was released and they choose to open the set with "Down In The Park". It is really interesting to hear knowing now that they are one of the biggest bands on the planet and that Dave Grohl choose to open a gig with a track he was so obviously under prepared to sing....see how many lyrical fluffs and mistakes he makes in the Tubeway Army classic!
