Berbatiti's Pan,Portland 16th May 1998 (Exile Tour)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8GUMF6F2

This is a fantastic gig from the U.S. club tour in support of the "Exile" album. Gary was touring the States for the first time since the "I, Assassin" tour back in 1982 mostly playing in clubs with a capacity of 700-800 people. This tour saw the harder industrial edge really developing and is covered in some depth in Gary's autobiography "Praying To The Aliens" giving the impression that it was a tour he clearly enjoyed. The unusually named Berbatit's Pan in Portland gets a special mention as it was in fact a restaurant with a tiny stage and no dressing room meaning at the end of the set the band stood next to the pinball machine in full view of the audience before coming back on for the encore! Keyboardist David Brooks shouted the immortal line "Let's rock this restaurant!" as the band took the stage.....and from the sound of this recording they certainly did! As a bonus this download also includes Marilyn Manson's guest appearance from the Hollywood Palace, Los Angeles on the 19th May where he joined Gary onstage for "Down In The Park" - Do you have the rest of this show? Let us know!

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5VUL070N

I've been sitting on this on for a while as we have posted a few from this tour already but I know a lot of you may have been at this gig so it's about time it was posted! This is the last of the gigs from the excellent TARQUIN LIVE blog site and again loads as one track. Many thanks to Tarquin Live who also has this gig available in FLAC...http://tarquinlive.blogspot.com/  Sound wise it's a pretty decent audience recording....very clear but missing some of the bass end....still you can't go wrong with this one!

ASB Theatre, Auckland, New Zealand 21st May 2011 (Pleasure Principle Tour) (Aud)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T2ADU2C0

Great sounding audience recording from the short tour of Australia and New Zealand giving fans down under another chance to see the "Pleasure Principle" performed. The second set features a couple of surprises with two new tracks performed "When The Sky Bleeds" and "Everything Comes Down To This". (I don't think any of us count "The Fall" as being new any more!)

This one comes courtesy of our friends over at the Numan Folder and the original uploader White Faced Clown. Thanks for this great share guys!

This one comes curtesy of the T.U.B.E. site.

Ultravox after the departure of John Foxx. Fronted by Midge Ure but before the release of the breakthrough "Vienna" album. Sound is very clear (almost too clear as with very little crowd noise you lose some of the atmosphere - I have a later audience recording from the Whiskey A Go Go which is a little more raw so leave a comment if you want me to post that too!). I am pulling the Billy Currie card again to justify the appearance of this on Numa Boots or just the fact that it's a great recording!

Another full set from the farewell "Wave Goodbye" tour where Gary guested on selected dates. Tarquin Live Blog

Just a big shout out to the Tarquin Live blog site that provided the last 3 posts on Numa Boots. The great thing about the bootleg community now is the way it is now there for everyone to share and not profit from, I remember many many times I have bought bootlegs in the past which turned out to be awful and tbh just ripping off the fans. I bring your attention to Tarquin Live as he posts all links in FLAC (not MP3 as we do here) which some of you may prefer and also he appears to be the original taper of these great boots that we have just posted so MASSIVE MASSIVE thanks. There are many many other bands on the site that may be of interest so it is well worth checking out. I am hoping he has some more Numan stashed somewhere!

Another show from the short (only 4 dates) mini tour promoting the release of "Jagged Live", this is the night after the previously posted Bristol gig and features an identical set list. This is a good audience source but loads as one file not as individual tracks. Rock City, Nottingham, England 5th December 2006 (Aud) (Telekon - Live Tour)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P4TRODUE

Very good audience recording from the "Telekon - Live" Tour of 2006. This was the tour that saw Gary revisiting classic albums in their entirity and was so successful that "Replicas" and "Pleasure Principle" tours followed! All tracks from the Telekon album and singles were played and then 2 classics from "Replicas" made up the encore. (Please note the entire gig is presented as one mp3 not as individual tracks.) Here it is....the surprise guest appearance during NIN's set at the O2, what an amazing moment that was! I was at this show and was torn as on the tour so far NIN were either playing their cover of Bowie's "I'm Afraid Of Americans" which is one of my (many) favourite Bowie tracks or Numan's "Metal" but not both. The previous date on the tour (13th July) at Manchester the band had elected to play "Metal" so when "I'm Afraid Of Americans" was played 8 tracks into the set in London I was resigned to not getting a Numan fix that night. Talk on the train journey on the way up touched on the fantasical with "wouldn't it be great if Gary came on for "Metal" and the opinion of it would be but would never happen! - How wrong we were!

Future Music Interview (Telekon 2006)

This is a 20 minute interview recorded on the final night of the 2006 Telekon Tour at London's Forum (the same night that the official DVD was recorded). This is a really interesting as it was recorded by the musicians magazine Future Music and goes into the stage set ups and equipment used and how the Telekon sound is achieved!

The Telekon - Live DVD and CD are still available from Townsend Records http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/sites/garynuman/ and for more info on Future Music Magazine check out their site http://www.musicradar.com/futuremusic

Troxy, London, England 2nd April 2011 (Aud) (Back To The Phuture)

Here it is - The Troxy!!! Probably the most asked for show on Numa Boots at the moment, after waiting to see if a complete recording of this show would appear it still as of yet it hasn't. So what we have here is what has become known at Numa Boots as the Frankenstein Troxy! This is for those who really want this show (and what an amazing show it was!). This has been compiled from various fan postings on youtube and reassembled into the correct running order with two exceptions...firstly we couldn't find the new track "When The Sky Bleeds, He Will Come" so that is listed below but isn't included in the download. Secondly we couldn't find a Troxy version of "Crawl" so we have included the version played the night before in Manchester for continuity. The audio quality of this varies greatly but it is as complete an experience as we can currently offer.

Many many thanks go to those who recorded and uploaded their phone footage that breathed life into this Frankensteins Monster!

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JQ23JKKC

This is a pretty decent audience source from the Exile tour, the set list is great and the band are on form. The only real issue is once again Gary's vocals aren't high enough in the mix (you can hear fans between songs calling for the vocals to be turned up). Despite that this is well worth a listen.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JBR3336H

This one may or may not be tagged correctly as there seems to be a few boots circulating listing 3 different dates/venues from the Australian leg of "The Touring Principle 80" Tour but this came to me as being from Brisbane. The main reason for posting this one is that to my ears it has a better sound quality than the one currently posted on the excellent Numan Folder site which hopefully you all visit regularly! So if you have this one already then in my opinion this is worth getting to compare the sound and posting it here makes it easier for the guys who run The Numan Folder to grab it too!
