SAMPLE Remember I Was Vapour

This has been sitting on the request list for quite some time now and it's nice to know you guys are still looking out for each other as Musky03 sent this to me today to finally fill the request! Many thanks as always Musky - top man! Quality wise it's an audience recording which is a bit murky on the vocal but overall isn't too bad, check the sample if in doubt! Artwork included.

So remember if you have anything to share with you fellow Numan fans then just let me know!

Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton, England 3rd September 2006

2006 was a pretty busy year....The Jagged Tour started in the UK before moving through Europe then onto America and even taking in a couple of Canadian dates too! There were also the 2 Festival dates of Guilfest and the Electric Picnic in Ireland not forgetting the Jagged launch gig at the Forum in March. All this before the short but excellent Telekon Tour in December!

This gig though is one of those special one off gigs that seem to happen every year that aren't attached to any tour....although this is very much a Jagged show of course and that's always a good thing!

Now here's the disclaimer.....this is a very good audience recording and I would highly recommend it however it has 2 additional tracks than the set list on file at the excellent Dead Heaven site so the date/venue may be wrong. http://www.dead-heaven.co.uk/oneoffs2006.htm Everything else matches so I think this is the correct info for the gig.

After a very busy 2006 promoting "Jagged" it was time to re-visit the past with the 4 date "Telekon" Tour. The last date of the tour at London's Forum was recorded and released officially as "Telekon - Live" which I'm sure everyone has. The other dates were Nottingham on the 5th (previously posted here http://numaboots.blogspot.com/2011/05/rock-city-nottingham-england-5th.html ) and Glasgow on the 6th. Always a fan favourite this is one not to be missed.

Described as Irelands version of Glastonbury this is Gary's appearance at the Electric Picnic from 2006 which seems a fitting time to post as he plays the Ben & Jerry's Sundae Festival this weekend. This loads as one file rather than having the tracks seperated and is just under an hour long.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P4TRODUE

Very good audience recording from the "Telekon - Live" Tour of 2006. This was the tour that saw Gary revisiting classic albums in their entirity and was so successful that "Replicas" and "Pleasure Principle" tours followed! All tracks from the Telekon album and singles were played and then 2 classics from "Replicas" made up the encore. (Please note the entire gig is presented as one mp3 not as individual tracks.) "EKO" the cd programme of the tour is still available from the Numan Online Store http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/sites/garynuman/index.php?productId=10003262&pTypeId=1

Future Music Interview (Telekon 2006)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AHAFINBV

This is a 20 minute interview recorded on the final night of the 2006 Telekon Tour at London's Forum (the same night that the official DVD was recorded). This is a really interesting as it was recorded by the musicians magazine Future Music and goes into the stage set ups and equipment used and how the Telekon sound is achieved!

The Telekon - Live DVD and CD are still available from Townsend Records http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/sites/garynuman/ and for more info on Future Music Magazine check out their site http://www.musicradar.com/futuremusic

BBC 6 Music Interview 2006

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0EZQM8MM

This is taken from the BBC 6 Music show "The Evening Sequence" presented by the one and only Tom Robinson of TRB fame. It was part of the press work Gary did to promote the "Jagged" album and tour  but covers a broader range of topics as well.

In 2006 Gary played the ever popular and eclectic Guilfest Festival in Guildford. Here we have just 3 tracks of the 11 track set Gary played that day and judging from the quality these were part of a broadcast of the festival (?) While I hate posting parts of sets some is better than none, right?

One from the American Jagged Tour 2006. I've often heard complaints at Numan gigs that Gary's vocals aren't high enough in the mix so that's why I'm posting this one....an audience source which loses some of the fullness of the band but Gary's vocals are nice and clear!

In a perfect world all boots would be crystal clear soundboard recordings, however we all know this world is far from perfect. Audience recordings come in many shapes and sizes ranging from sound that rivals soundboards and official releases all the way down to badly distorted boots that have the pissed guy next to the recording equipment being louder than the band.

Obviously here at Numa Boots we have no interest in that lower end but that leaves a lot in between. When we come across a not perfect audience source but a bloody good show we will post them here and leave it for you to decide if you want it in your collection or not.

This is one of those times, the sound in my opinion is pretty good but not perfect, however Gary and the band are on fire! This is a great show from the Jagged Tour and well worth checking out!
